Boys Ice Hockey: The Wild Boars had a tough week, playing three games in six days and finishing with a 0-2-1 record. The boys tied Salisbury and 3-3 on January 21st. Next, the boys played the Trinity-Pawling School on the 23rd, and lost with by the score of 4-3, the last goal coming with five seconds left in the game. On Saturday, the squad played in a highly anticipated game against Avon Old Farms. Avon skated all over Choate, and came away with a 7-3 victory. Wednesday, Choate traveled up to Hotchkiss, boasting a 9-6-2 record.

Girls Ice Hockey: The girls traveled to Kent on the 23rd and left with a commanding 4-0 victory. Then, the team made the long journey down to Lawrenceville this past Saturday. In an exciting game, the girls won 2-1 in overtime, which left their record 10-3-1.

Boys Swimming & Diving: The boys faced the strong Exeter team with confidence this past Saturday. Exeter outswam Choate, beating the Boars 85-101. This left Choate with a 2-4 record. Their next meet is agaisnt Hopkins on the Wednesday we return from long weekend.

Girls Swimming & Diving: The squad had an epic battle against swimming powerhouse Phillips Exeter this past Saturday. The Choate girls started their assault on the strong Exeter team with a new New England 6-dive record from Carlin Dacey ’08, and a new school record from Caroline Wilson ’09 in the 50 free. The other strong performances from the whole team lead Choate to a 118-68 win, which left their record at 6-0 going into their meet against Hopkins on the 6th of February.

Boys Basketball: The Boars played Gunnery on the 23rd in a very exciting game. The boys eventually took Gunnery into overtime where they won 52-46. This left their record at 7-7, with a game played against Trinity Pawling on Wednesday.

Girls Basketball: The girls had a long week playing three games in six days. They first traveled up to rival Deerfield and left with a overpowering 60-38 triumph. Next, they traveled to Watertown and beat Taft 48-33. Then on Saturday, they played Suffield at home, and lost 45-34. This left their record 9-6 with an away game at Loomis on Wednesday.

Boys Squash: The boys had a great week where they played three matches, two of them back to back. First, the boys played Hotchkiss at home on the 23rd and won 5-2. Then they traveled to Westminster, and beat Belmont Hill 6-1, and Andover 5-2. This left the Boar’s record at 11-4, with a home match versus Trinity-Pawling on Wednesday.

Girls Squash: The girls played defeated Westminster 6-1 on the 23rd to continue their hot streak of four straight wins. This left their record at 9-2, with a very exciting match against Greenwich Academy at home on Monday.
