FALL: Boys Cross Country

The fall season lent itself host to the closest competition for team of the term. Boys Cross Country emerged from a fray including four candidates due to its impressive Founders League Title. Led by inspirational coach Ned Gallgher, the squad vanquished its first three foes before dropping a meet to Phillips Academy. Undeterred by the loss, the Boys team proceeded to win out the season, winning all four of its last meets. The team capped off its successful 7-1 season with a victory at the Founders League Championsips at Avon Old Farms. Although the team did not do as successfully as they hoped at the New England Championships, the overall success was truly noteworthy.

While other teams may have racked up similar winning perccentages, the Girls swimming and diving can boast having won the New England Championships. Coaches Sara Massa and Ben Small helped guide the team to a 9-1 record. Despite their lone loss to Hopkins, the team was dominant in the pool, most evidently highlighted by their 128-58 thrashing of rival Deerfield Academy.
