The News apologizes for the appearance of a careless phrase in Corey Sherman’s column in its May 25 issue. The phrase "we view NMH as an athletics-only school" is plainly a distortion of that school’s mission, its exceptional accomplishments and its good name. Although the column reflected the columnist’s personal views, the phrase’s appearance in our school's newspaper, as well as the use of the “royal we”, caused harm. Mr. Sherman and The News retract the phrase and apologize to the NMH community.
