Christophe Lirola ’08 performed admirably in Choate Boys Tennis with two wins last week. Against the Taft Rhinos, Lirola was key to eventually overcoming the Taft’s dangerous doubles duos. The next day at Trinity Pawling, Lirola fought through debilatating leg cramps to defeat his opponent at the number one singles spot.
Kelly McDonough ’08
Kelly McDonough is undefeated in the 800 m run. At the first home meet on April 16, Kelly won the 800 in 2:31, the fastest time ever on the new track. At the Hunt Relays on April 21, Kelly ran 800 m legs on the champion distance medley and 4 x 800 teams. In the DMR, Kelly started her leg several meters behind the leader but came from behind, handing off the baton with an eight second lead.
