Man Found Stabbed In Front of Local Hotel

At 6 am on the 2nd of February, a man was found on the sidewalk outside the Fairfield Inn, lying in a pool of blood. Identified as 53-year-old Thomas Ferrari, he was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital this morning with critical head and torso wounds. Ferrari was discovered clothed and without identification. Police spent the day trying to solve the mystery of this man; he was neither shot nor stabbed, and was found with money on his person, so was most likely not robbed. Police are still investigating who did this and how he was injured.

CT Schools Attempt to Slim Down Students

Around the state, severe changes in school lunchroom menus are being enacted. Eighty-two school districts of Connecticut have chosen to obey the recommendations nutritional guidelines of the state, as of last Thursday. In those areas, French fries are gone, baked goods are smaller, candy has disappeared. As an incentive, districts that engage in this program receive an extra 10 cents per lunch in state reimbursement. Officials say that these menu revisions will get students to eat better and see the importance of a healthy diet.
