FALL

WINNER:

Boys Cross-Country

The 2005 Boys Cross-Country team capped a successful regular season by recapturing the Founders League title from rival Loomis Chaffee and finishing a close third overall in New England. Led by Captain Mike Morrill ’06 , Charles Depman ’06, Captain Frank Hamilton ’06, David Cha ’06, and Chris Krokus ’08, all of whom earned All-League honors by finishing in the top fifteen, the boys eked out a victory in the Founders League Championship at Hotchkiss The Choate harriers were undefeated in the Founders League and captured the Scott Bowl as the top Connecticut team during the dual meet season.

WINTER

WINNER:

Girls Squash

This year’s Girls Squash Team compiled and impressive 12-1 record and finished 5th in New England. The Boars went undefeated in Founders League competition with a record of 9-0 and captured the league title. Their only loss on the year came at the hands of traditional powerhouse Greenwich Academy. The girls defeated Taft twice to secure the Founders crown and capped the regular season by defeating rival Deerfield 6-1.

SPRING

WINNER:

Girls Water Polo

Girls Water Polo had another strong seson in which they were one of the top teams in New England once again. Led by Co-Captains Tiffany Kim ‘06 and Elizabeth Lawrence ‘06 as well as Kendall Dacey ‘06, who was an All-American last year, the girls posted an 8-1 record during the regular season. In the New England tournament, Choate defeated four-time New England champion Suffield Academy before falling to Loomis Chaffee in the final despite getting three goals from Dacey. Even so, Choate finished an impressive number two in New England on the year.
