Letter to the Editor

By Jordan Jack ‘46

News Guest Writer
To the Editor:
I am a somewhat ancient alumnus of Choate Rosemary Hall from the class of 1946 when it was only Choate School.  I recently was given three copies of The News by a classmate.  I want to complement you and your staff for the quality of The News.  Its coverage is far more wide ranging than The Choate News of 60 years ago which covered only school news.  The Katrina issue was particularly well done.

To my opinion, some of the stories in The News seemed to be presented in a somewhat black and white approach but this tends to be that view on many teenagers both in my day and today.  I certainly fell into this position at that age.  Unfortunately, the big old world tends to be various shades of gray.

Keep up the excellent coverage of far ranging stories.  This major change in The News from my day in the mid 1940s is excellent.

P.S. - I am looking forward to returning to Choate Rosemary Hall this coming May for my 60th class reunion.
